More About Me

Hello there!

My name is Cailen, and I am a licensed therapist that specializes in working with new mamas as they enter the world of motherhood. I myself have been through postpartum depression, and I know the avalanche of emotions that can surprise you during the often chaotic beginning to the wild ride of parenthood. I have been there, felt the sleep deprivation and confusion, and have the milk-stained t-shirt to prove it!

As a mom myself and a therapist, I believe that:

  • As the saying goes,

Whether you are breastfeeding, pouring the formula, making organic meal plans from scratch, or grabbing some goldfish crackers on the way to the park (or all the above!), you know what works for you more than anyone else.

"Fed is Best."

  •               is essential for mama and baby alike. Sleep is a tricky and slippery thing with a little one, and it takes a village!

Rest

  • There is no room for side-eye judgements or passive digs when it comes to how you eat, sleep, and play with your baby. There is only one team, and

we are in it together.

In addition to my license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW), I am also certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Perinatal covers pregnancy through the baby's first year, although don't hesitate to reach out if you have kiddos a little older too (especially toddlers)!

I have worked in hospitals, urgent crisis support hotlines, schools, non-profits, and private practice settings and I am excited to now offer teletherapy that helps me meet my clients literally where they are. I have found that while all these avenues are different, they all center on finding the calm in the storm and helping people feel grounded even while being stretched beyond what feels possible. My style is authentic, non-judgmental, candid, and focused on recognizing your natural strengths that make you who you are.

Chances are you have already been through many of life’s hoops and obstacles, and I hope to create a warm and supportive environment where we can explore some of the things you have already overcome as well as what lies ahead.
